Go figure...It's snowing

Will it never end LOL. Weather report is calling for 10-14 inches above 6000 feet. We are at 6915 feet so we are the chosen ones. It seems to be raining in the valley and the low is centered on Idaho. Hope you guys are not getting this much snow! We were just beginning to see dirt too . The good news is that it should melt quickly as the temps are in the mid 40's. Anyone else having a very odd winter/spring/summer whatever this weather is called? sisterpine

We could stand a little of that snow falling as it would melt in the 96º air as it falls. That was the temperature yesterday and today it is to reach 100º to 105º.

If something doesn't give it makes me think we are headed back into conditions similar to the Dirty Thirties. Heard yesterday about how rabbits are now beginning to eat pastures and crops and road ditches in plain sight as other vegetation is so scarce. Also that they are eating cactus. Also about some kind of rat is building large mounds in pastures and taking up valuable grass space. They even pile cactus on the den mound to keep coyotes from digging to them.

We've had a terribly cold spring, but tomorrow is supposed to be nice. After reading those first 2 posts though, I'm ashamed I've been complaining. Hope things even out for you folks.

Very windy and dry here. The weekend was gorgeous and the wind blew in today. Supposed to get rain and or snow tomorrow. I hope so, we can always use the moisture. Lots of fire bans. Tourists starting to come in and they complain about the fire bans, then have campfires anyway. They don't realize how fast a tiny spark can turn into an inferno when the weather is like this. Think you can't camp without a campfire? Try camping without a forest.

Here in southern Idaho we've seen more rain this spring than ever, on top of an early winter last year. Right now it's about 50 degrees, but rainy and bone chilling cold due to high winds. Due to be about 70 by the end of the week, but I'm not holding my breath.

Seems everyone is having extreme weather.
It's getting hot here. SW part of the state has been over 100 degrees already. We need rain. Folks who need it to dry out are having floods. Folks who need some Spring weather are getting snow and cold weather. And way too many people are being hit by tornadoes this year. I heard we're in La Nina weather pattern, which is causing all the extreme weather. I feel sorry for those who are either burning up or flooding out.
