need Pocahontas flooding info

I am not having much luck with websearching the condition of the Black River bridge in Pocahontas. My son is driving here to Missouri from Memphis on Saturday night, and I need to know if that bridge is open.

Can you help?

I live in Pocahontas.

The Black River bridge on Hwy. 67 is open now. Hwy. 67, just south of Pocahontas is still closed due to flooding, for a few miles until you get to the Lawrence county line. Maybe it will be open by tomorrow night.

Here is a link to our local news site. They have a link for road closings.

It doesn't appear to be closed according to this website. Don't forget that Memphis is a mess right now too.

I just called a couple I know who lives out that way and asked them. They said Hwy. 67 south to Walnut Ridge is still closed and they were told it would be a few more days till it was open. They haven't been able to go home for well over a week. They are living with their animals in their business downtown. My son said that the sign in town before the bridge warns that no thru traffic is allowed on Hwy. 67 south. That is still there as it has for well over a week. So I'm just saying...that's all I know living here.

I just called this number for updated road closings. It says Hwy. 67 south between Walnut Ridge and Pocahontas is closed. Call 1-800-245-1672.

We are in Randolph county if that helps any.

OK. That's what I needed to know. THANK YOU!

I called and postponed their trip. I am supposed to go THAT way and visit them on the other side of Memphis next week.

We'll see if I can get there.
