best mail order catalog

I am planning to turn more of my yard into garden by way of some fruit trees and blackberries. I reallllly dont' get the idea of putting all the work into grass that then someone cusses about mowing!? so, edibles it is.

the prices of such goodies in town is not pleasant. I have gotten several mail order catalogs all with much better prices, but are they a good place to buy from? is one better than the rest? I think i'm zone 5, if that makes any difference. thanks!

Check out Dave's Garden. Scroll down and click on his Watchdog. It gives a pretty inclusive list of catalogs and ratings from a lot of people

Remember, some plants grow better in certain areas, so take that into comsideration when ordering. Price should not be the only consideration when buying. Growing season length, water usage, etc. is just as important.

Check out Gardening and Plant Propogation forum here also - many good gardeners there.

Burnt Ridge nursery good trees, most around $15. C&0 nursery has internet special 3 fruit trees for $30. I have never ordered from them. You should hurry, selection decreases and shipping in warm weather is not the best.
