Red face Taxes

I looked this up on the IRS site, but I'm still not sure. I took an accredited certification program in Reflexology last year. It was not at a university, but a massage school. I'm pretty sure I can deduct the tuition. Right?

cant remember the name of the form but did you get a tax form from the school? i think its a c9 but do not quote me on that. if so i would think you could claim it if not then probably not. here is what i found online hope it helps

What is an eligible educational institution?
Any school that participates in a federal student aid program (administered by the U.S. Department of Education) is eligible. All accredited schools qualify for the college tax credit, including online schools.

Here is the IRS publication about it.

Eligible educational institution. An eligible educational institution is any college, university, vocational school, or other postsecondary educational institution eligible to participate in a student aid program administered by the U.S. Department of Education.

It includes virtually all accredited public, nonprofit, and proprietary (privately owned profit-making) postsecondary institutions. The educational institution should be able to tell you if it is an eligible educational institution.

So it looks like you want to call the school and ask them if they qualify.
