babington ball burner to boil maple down?

has anyone tryed this or will lol..
i dont know what kind of tempratures you need to boil say(flame temp not sap) and i am not sure what temp waste veggie or waste motor oil burns at off the babington ball burner...

but the idea was to use 'free' fuel in cheap/ diy babbington ball burner to boil sap down.
any input? and thanks
