Update to "Really Disappointed"
Well, Sunday I went to see a toggenburg goat, and came home with a mother goat that I call "Miss Dixie" , I've had to worm her, and she needs a few groceries, but seems to be a nice girl. She's very happy in her new accomodations and loves the attention. And she came with two baby wethers, one is a foster mini-mancha I call "Bubba" the other is a mini-togg (her own baby) I call "Jerry Lee". Here's thier pics. I'm praying I won't end up keeping babies as pets....but I probably will I'll still look for a couple more does, but I'm happy with these guys to start.
And I should not forget to thank all the Ht'rs who PM'd me with advice and encouragement. I appreciate your help sincerely. Thankyou : )

I know, how in the world will I be able to give him up? I've already (in one days time) made the mistake of picking him up and holding him on his back like a baby and burying my face in his tummy! Wuzza wuzza big boy! Gosh, I'm a terrible farmer!

She looks nice to me. Looks wormy, but you took care of that. Watch that coat to make sure she doesn't have lice. It looks more like she is about to shed, but keep a close eye on it.
She's pretty, and will be even prettier when she is shiny.

Thanks for the suggestion. Its been many years since I've had a goat. I used Safegaurd paste and will use it again in two weeks. Then I might try a different wormer in rotation. Any suggestions? Injectable, drench or pellet? I used the paste because I didn't know how she would accept the handling. (She was fine.) I believe she is VERY wormy and is deficient in minerals and groceries in general. Since I've been feeding her a small amount of goat feed and mineral supplement her milk has really come on (much to the joy of the little ones!)
Does anybody feed loose baking soda or give vinegar or any other additions?

Safeguard is almost like throwing your money away. Worm her with either cydectin for cows (use it as a drench) or ivomec plus (as a drench also).

You're right. I did a little research and found out how to dose ivomec injectable as an oral wormer dose. I happen to have some on hand and will get her weight and dose her. I have read that almost all goat worms are becomming resistant to safegaurd, and its only effective for tape worms (but the dose is different and given for three days.) So I have learned something new and helpful : ) I am looking forward to seeing her bloom. I promise before and after pics to come!

I don't know much about goats, but does she need copper? She looks similar to pics I have seen of goats that need it...

Not sure, but I am giving her a goat mineral in her feed. I'm sure time will take care of alot : )I know most people give mineral supplements free choice, but I worry that she or the babies will over eat it. Since they probably haven't had mineral supplement before.
