Just made some... Guess i'm not real skilled-hard lumps instead of light fluffy biscuits. Any ideas on how long to let them rise? And, as said by a previous poster, time and temps would be great as well! ;-)

Now eddie, you're gonna have to get your wife to post exactly what she did cuz people wanna know how to get rolls that make ya eat to the near croakin point!
Y'all check the cooking forum and the recipe forum or just google some yeast roll recipes.
Generally, you would mix the dough and after needing, let rise in a bowl (usually covered, and not in a cool or drafty place) for about 30-40 minutes or doubled in size.
Then punch down and roll out what shapes you want, place on pan and rise again for maybe an hour.
Most yeast rolls are baked at 350-375 until just browned. The close you place them to each other, the more they're gonna sorta "join up" together to become the tear apart kind. Placing farther apart will allow a bit of a crust all the way around.
Good luck everyone!

How bout if she dictates it 2 me???Here we go,,,Yep,there was not much info on the how 2's.Bopeep guessed at it,and they were great. She said heat the water to about 110-115 add the yeast and half the sugar.Stir lightly and let rest about 10 min.It should be bubbling by then,if not the yeast is old and you need NEW yeast.
Put in mixing bowl, add the melted butter, rest of the sugar, and she used coffee creamer, for the baking milk, the salt and one cup of flour, stir and mix, then keep adding the rest of the flour, a little bit at the time, keep stirring and mixing well, until the dough is not sticky anymore and no lumps are seen, then NO MORE FLOUR,thats all.Oil a bowl and place mixture in bowl and roll it around until oily looking.
Then cover with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel laid over it.Let it set and rise for and hour. Then punch it around a bit to deflate the mixture some. Then squeeze off each roll and place into an oiled pan or dish.Cover once again with plastic wrap and a towel, then let sit and rise 45 more minutes. Then she removed the wrap, beat an egg and painted the tops of each roll.Have oven preheated to 400 deg, and put rolls inside and bake until golden brown.
Not saying this is how the Bayou Gardener recommends them mixed or cooked, and not saying this is the only way to handle them.Just saying this is how Bopeep did them, once again making Old Eddie Buck thank the Good Lord above for blessing him with a wife who won't sceered of stoves, and the backbone to stick with using one, until she mastered their use or either killed Eddie Buck making him eat burnt food.
This is Eddie Buck, not coming to you from the grave, but from here at the computer desk.Living proof that I have been eating what this lady has cooked for thirty five years.LOL,a few of those first years,I thought I was a gonner for sure.
The thing about burnt food, no matter what it is,its all the same color (BLACK)and it all tastes the same (A charcoal taste) You wouldn't know whether you was eating Fillet Mignon, or Mountain Oysters.
That is until the oysters side effects kicked in.Then you both look at each other, and give that little mischievous smile ,we all have given or received at one time or another. Don't say you ain't,or Ued be lying!!!

I made a 13 x 9 pan of dinner rolls a few days ago from a recipe I found on the 'net. DH 'oohed' and 'ahhed' and ate 1/2 a pan.....that's over half a dozen good-sized rolls.
Gonna give yours a try next. Thanks for sharing!
