Soooo cheese wax

My favorite cheese comes in a waxed wheel. I've been afraid to throw the wax away as I keep thinking I'll come upon a use for it. Anyone ever recover the wax? How do you clean it? And what do you use it for?
TIA lots!

I've heard people rolling it up and using it for fire starters.

I had read somewhere to wash it in a mild soapy water, rinse well and dry well. Save it up and then you can melt it down to wax your own hard cheese.

Use the recovered wax to mix with new wax. Buy cheese in bulk and wax smaller pieces.

I melt wax and pour it over little paper cups of shavings and then those are my fire starters.

Hah, sorry Manygoats! Loves ya, but I'm going to use it to wax more cheese and hang it in the pantry! Next step after that is to learn how to make my own using the raw milk from our cow share. And maybe one day I'll be milking my own and making cheese. I'm beginning to see how one step leads to another and I don't feel so paralyzed these days.
Thanks for the ideas folks!
