Portable Electric Fencing

I am looking into portable fencing. I will be use it on all sorts of terrain to keep goats in and animals out. Anyone have any experience with portable fence? Any suggestions? I'm looking at premier and Im thinking I need double spiked. After that I am foggy on just which one to choose.

I use it some but the goats I have are use to a really hot fence wire in front of the reg fence so they don't challenge it

Haven't used it yet but am thinking about doing so.
I've been told that the cord or rope works much better then the tape and is also easier
to move and roll up.

I used the premiere electronet double spike for my sheep last year and all I can say is WOW....wish I started using net years ago. It never failed me all season and held up to our brutal hilltop winds without fail. We had one night when a coyote came in (only saw the tracks) and he challenged the fence.....never had any other attempts after that. I know from accidently hitting my arm on the electrified net that it will make you respect it. Of course you have to have the right energizer.

My sheep will stay in it (I have the premier set), but my goats just knock it down. They don't care how hot it is, they know it only hurts for a second or two. The plastic stakes aren't very stable and don't keep the netting tight. Even with the sheep, I supplement at the corners with a Tpost.

I have it, and I use a high output charger. 6 joules.

They respect it. Even the bucks.

Yes, get the two spike fence, and the tallest one.

I love mine. I too have the Premier 1 fencing and a good charger. It has kept in rams and goats with no trouble.
Iwent to TSC and got the step in posts to hold it tight. That made all the difference.
Oh.. and I use it for turkeys, ducks and chickens as well.. I use it around my garden and all over the place for all different reasons. Great stuff.
