Smile Starting on the Foundation in Another Week

Got all the decisions made about Moms addition to our house and probably digging footers in the next week or two. The ground is thawed enough to work and she wants to get going with it. The addition ended up being 16x46 with a cathedral ceiling.

We're having an Amish crew from Ohio come and do the shell and get it all under roof. While they're here they will be putting up real board and batten on the whole house (love that stuff!) The Amish crew has been doing quite a bit of work around here and have a good reputation. I wonder if they will be put out by me taking pictures of them working? I really want pics for my photo album!

Getting pretty excited what with building for mom, time to think gardens and flowers etc... COME ON SPRING!!!!!

take your pictures discreetly from behind and they probably won't mind..I think it is the face or image that they don't want in photographs..

sounds like a really really great project and bless your hearts to consider the honor of your elders..and to give honest people good work and income..I love to hear these kinds of stories

Thanks Brenda! I love my family so its no hardship. I count it as a blessing. My kids don't have a lot of family. Thanks for the advice on taking pics!
