Detroit Auto Show
Just tuned in so I have missed the majority of the show -
Right now they just showed the 9th generation of the Honda Civic will come in 3 versions 1) hybrid & 2) natural gas, didn't catch the first. Was wrapping my mind around the civic being 40 y.o. Host said something about 40 mpg which seems to be the new norm for new car market.
I thought the natural gas option would be a great choice for those with there own wells if fueling up at home is feasible.
Apparently Prius will have an entry level model out on the market. Not my level mind you but still.
The Chevy Volt according to these two hosts will bring in the buying public into car show rooms where even if they don't buy a Volt they will walk out with a GM product.
The previous segment was two reporters talking about the new class of cars which they called MAV - multi activity vehicles. The car/van is a wifi hot spot and the driver can use voice commands to post on fb ect.
In my mind all I could hear was a deep Brooklyn accent saying,"I'll give you a multi activity car". Since my little Aveo hauls firewood, gleaned produce, and the occasional deer after a hunt nI am now gonna classify it as an MAV.
Right now they just showed a Mercedes commercial where the voice over just said that as the economy improves more people will be owning ... sorry didn't hear the rest was too busy lmao ...
K, now one of the hosts just said that a sure sign that the economy is improving is that Porsche has returned after a 3 year hiatus. Wow, I can finally get a good night's sleep. We have persevered.
I really need to do a potty break before I watch any more of this comedy/auto show.
