Homesteading Tool - index cards

IF you read TNnative's recent thread then you might have also read my response to initiating a conversation about buying & selling from an individual who to you is a complete stranger.
This tool also has other applications such as generating leads for; bartering, buying, employment, gifts, gleaning, trading, shares, and in rare instances opportunities for kinship with like minded peeps or romance (can't tell u how many offers of marriage hubby receives from ladies who admire his handy work).

Index cards.
There cheap. Easy to come by and handy. No p.c./printer required just legible handwriting. They can be kept in back pockets, bib pockets, purses, diaper bags, and vehicle's gloves boxes. They can be posted in feed stores, grocery stores, community centers. They can be handed out in casual conversations or left in mailboxes or under a windshield wiper.
Index cards can hold as little or as much information as you want.

Ours has our N&N (name & number which is cell).
That we are interested in bartering & gleaning opps.
Services or products that we offer.
What we desire.

TNnative here's the cup of joe I owe u (sorry for the ).

Sounds like a good way to advertise what you have available to sell, things you need, or services you offer if you are a person who gets out and about.Good suggestion.

Very similar to the concept of having a business card?
Only larger of course.

No problem at all. I always enjoy it when a conversation about one thing leads to an idea that I've never thought about before, such as keeping index cards in the car.

It occurred to me that it would also be handy to keep a small roll of scotch tape in the glove box for affixing the index card to a door. That way you would not have to worry about it blowing away.
