Is that the mast and meter box with wiring included with the wood pole? I just called local lumber yard and an 18ft. 6x6 is $55 plus tax, they said it has to be 18' for code.

Not to bad of a price. Depending on the size of the meter box and conductors used, a temporary pole can run anywhere from $200 to $400 to build. Or at least that's what it ran 10 years ago when I was still doing electrical work. Might be higher now since everything else is.

Talk with one of you local utility crews or the office. Many times if you can haul it the will give it to you. Around us if they don't give them away they have to be taken to a specific hazmat landfill. If you do this be very sure you don't get a pole treated with Mitsy treatment. It was a form of mustard gas. Some times they will even have old mast and bases from wreck outs.
