sites 4 collectible books?

Does anyone know of good sites for collectible books? I would like to investigate potential values of some old books in excellent condition before I donate them somewhere, or try to sell. I've tried eBay, both to research & to sell, and haven't found that efficient or particularly successful. Thanks! Sue

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Advanced Book Exchange (ABEbooks}, and Alibris all sell used and rare books online. I used to use Alibris a lot when searching for rare historical books.

My father and his SO use this site quite a bit when researching books before putting them up on EBay.

www.bookfinder.com covers all of the sites that sell books including Amazon, ABE, Alibri, private sellers, etc.

That's the fastest way to see what's out there new and used, the condition and price. If you have something rare look for Bauman in NYC. They've had ads in the NY Times Review. Those are rare, signed, first editions, etc.
