What in world is an HSUS Banner Ad doing on HT?!?!?!?!?!?
Something needs to be done in my mind about that one!

In my experience, most of the banner ads that I see are from websites that I just visited or googled or purchased from....just sayin'.

Yep, Cabin Fever, those ads respond to where we've been.
Like I'm seeing Huntsville Coupon ads, as I've just been looking at a Huntsville AL newspaper article.

Use Firefox as browser, and use an Ad Blocking application. I don't see ANY ads.

Yep, I recently ordered a bathing suit and a laptop, and now it's showing ads for Swim Outlet and Office Max. A little after the fact, ad company!

Humane Society of the United States, H$U$ is an organization that pretends to care about animal welfare but in reality has a mission statement to ELIMINATE all pet / animal ownership in the United States.
They are essentially the touchy-feely version of PETA.

Sadly, I think you are right. Was at a shop and a Woman was talking about the Local HS-boss lady-makes $90,000 a year and all she does is euthanize animals, never finds homes for any of them.

Ah ha! Just didn't recognize the abreviation. This is something I have recently found out about.
I thought the national organization was the same thing as my local humane society. Not so!!! The national organization is just as described....they are pretty much against anyone having animals. Your local humane society is exactly that.....a local organization. I just joined our local humane society and I have voting rights and I'll be volunteering to help out. Ours is wonderful and does everything they can to find good homes for all kinds of animals and is a no-kill shelter.
Now I understand the reason for the original post.

I don't know about it relying on tracking cookies..
If it did I would see lots of yarn ads 
But I get singles, Saab (yeah right) and home refinance (we are very happy with our current mortgage rate).
I don't think I have ever seen an ad that applies to any of my life interests or the sites I visist.

I was wondering what in the world HSUS was, too. I can't keep up with all these abbreviations. My ad at the moment says "Microfinance Empowers
Join us in enabling the poorest of the poor to improve their own lives
www.GrameenFoundation.org". What's that supposed to mean about me?
