New group

A while ago, someone mentioned having sub-forums for countries and states. Well, it didn't happen, but I made a group for Missouri homesteaders. I don't know if anyone will use it, but it was worth a try.

That someone was me.

I have no idea how you set up a group. If someone is kind enough to set one up for Arkansas that would be great.

Go to your "User CP" and then to "Networking", then "Groups", then scroll down to "Create a new group".

That should provide enough to get you started.

Well who knew there were social groups on here. If anyone starts one for Kentucky, I'll participate.

I am now wondering how I change the look... Right now the group description is crammed into the image box; looks messy. Any ideas?

Great idea. See that you are up to 12 members, as of now. However, it does not (to my knowledge) show up elsewhere on the forum. "You" will have to seek out others from your region and PM them "invitations" or whatever. Regional forum is a great way to get pertinent info...a tomato that does well in BC (Canada) may not do well in TN, AL, FL etc. I constantly see posts asking advice, but providing ZERO information on location/climate. USDA zones give a clue to what might do well in winter, but have no bearing on the growing season.

If I lived in "Misery" (jk) I would join in a heartbeat!
