Cast Iron Pans, for sale opinions
Simply have Too many. I need some opinions here on if it would be worth it,with the cost of shipping to try and sell part of my collection. All Griswold and Wagner, all smooth as a baby's bum on the bottom. Fry pans. I'm no expert, I've just used and bought too many. Help!

look on e-bay for how they handle the shipping costs and to check what is currently being paid for those you have. You can see what is ASKED and what is actually paid. Then you can list them on our barter board for us to snap up!! bee

They are worthless, send them to me and I will pay you scrap iron price plus shipping .............
Without knowing exactly what they are, I'm guessing most of them would be in the 35 to 80 dollar range. I heard of a smaller Wagner model a few years ago that sold on E-Bay for $1500. so do a little research before you just slap a price on them.

You will find a very receptive audience on ebay. If you wanna try to bump your take a bit, make sure to let folks here know, and let folks at the permies forum know too. Maybe a couple of other forums. People would much rather buy that sort of thing from somebody that is part of your community than a stranger.

7th Swan, I'm in Michigan and would be very interested in purchasing 1 or 2 decent sized frying pans. Cash is ok but wouldn't mind a swap of some kind if I happen to have anything you are interested in.

Thanks for the suggestions! Like Paul Wheaton said, I'd like to just sell them here, but will look on ebay for a place to start on the prices, but not looking to make a killing, just seems to me it would be better for folks to use them. I'm thinking I'll see about those Boxes they have at the PO, you know cram all you can in for 1 price. "If it fit's it shipps".

Just for info-----I have seen several Griswolds frying pans sell for $1500 to over $3000 Each, so do your research and you might have one of the "GOOD" ones, but if yours is not one of the high dollar ones it is still worth alot more than a Lodge etc . Good Luck!!

No Kidding, I wouldn't know where to start. I know there is a book. There are a few "diffrent" ones here, I'll take all the info. I can get if you know of a place to look. Thanks.

I just bought a Griswold #8 for $35 - shipping was $15.
If you have a larger one, I'm certainly interested!

Oh My! This was the first thing I looked at. How confusing,I'll have to look at every single thing arround here. The Santa Mold, I've never even looked at it, it's up on the top of the cupords, goof grief, a can of worms. http://gcica.org/AUCTIONLIST2010.htm
I'll figure these pans as fast as I can anyway, read alot about packing them too, that has to be done just right.
edit to add-looked my santa, is not a griz.

What I want to know is if you have a base for my 8" Griswold waffle iron. I found the waffle iron a few weeks ago in a dumpster, but I need a base for it. From my research, there are two different heights of bases. One is about 2" and the other about 6".
