left the milk out all night again.

Ever do that? Is the milk safe to drink? It's always a new full bottle too!

Does it smell bad? Sour? if not, then I'd drink it. With "store bought" milk it's pasteurized so there aren't any bacteria in an unopened bottle.

Me, personally, I leave eggs on the counter, butter out, eat leftovers that were left out (like pizza or forgotten bowls of casserole or pie), and I'd have no trouble drinking your milk. Same with Artificer. . but we know what our systems can handle. Some folks are afraid of rare meat. Artificer loves it. Some can't tolerate the bacteria that's in cheese, we can. Everyone is different

Go ahead and drink it, it builds up your bacteria tolerance! I'm kidding, but if it didn't smell soured I'd still drink it.

It probably has more to do with how warm you keep your house than how long it sat out. Here, not a problem, because we keep our house really cool, but in July when it's 97F at 10PM? Not so much.

Smell it, taste a bit, and see what you think. If it doubt, throw it out. A week of food poisoning isn't worth the few bucks to replace the milk.

With teenagers in the house, I've made it a habit to do a once-over in the kitchen and store room every night before bed -- not so much due to spoilage, but due to the dogs thinking that it's a buffet left out for their 2AM munching pleasure.

Milk doesn't go bad... it goes to curds and whey (baby cheese in the making).
