Marketing classes

Does anyone know where I can find an on line marketing class/info or point me in the right direction for books on marketing. I'm thinking about marketing for farm tourism or produce. Checking with the Extension Office tomorrow, but would like to find something on line if possible. Thanks folks.

Do you mean farmers marketing? Selling to restaurants? To stores?

There is a farmers marketing section under the gardening and plant forum.

Your local chamber of commerce may be able to send you in the right direction.

I think, depending on the person, and from personal experience and business, the absolute BEST way to learn marketing is to research other people's marketing that is similiar to what you are doing. Also, I would recomend using other business models that you like, and taking from them the ideas or looks you like. Think OUTSIDE the box. Start writing everything you think and like down. Cut, copy save, link to or tear out anythin that catches YOUR eye.

Just rememeber, any money you spend to learn is more money you must make to break even.
Then I would post it all on here as you work on it for ideas...

Just my .02 worth! Good luck!

Thanks for the link to Beyond the Sidewalks, I'll study it in the morning. Lots of other good suggestions. I'll check out our community college stuff too. Appreciate all the help, I knew the HT folks would come through.
