Whoa! What a storm!

Last night, just before 9 PM we had such a burst of wind that it ripped an Arbor off the side of my barn! Wow - this was a huge heavy Arbor made of Bamboo poles, wire across two sections, and was set down in raised planters. It had Morning Glory vines thickly grown and at least 15 feet high plus a few bean vines on it.

The whole thing was lifted - somehow - and throw completely backwards and off the barn! I am just too surprised. That Arbor was huge and heavy and how it could have been just lifted and tossed off and on the ground.......

I have not been outside yet to see what else happened. It is still dark here.

Hope everyone is OK and safe.

Had some tornados in KY. I was working at the school and spent some time in the hallway because of the warnings for the town. Wind was really strong and lots of rain. Got home and no damage. A dead limb came down by the front pasture. I am always thankful that this is the only tree I have to the front of my house besides the small fruit trees

There were 6 tornados in various areas of Indiana, as well as 80mph sraight line winds.
We were lucky, down here on the Hill. We got about a half inch of good rain.
We needed it. It was a big Storm, and it blew through here & was gone in about 15 minutes.
Good old Thor.

It's still a snowy blizzard out there this morning. Lost our power around 3:30AM this morning. Had to get ready for work by candle and lamp light.

Blizzard? Wow - it is still hot here. I think cold air is supposed to get here after all this wind. Stay warm.

I just posted in the other storm thread, 4 in. of rain in less than 24 hours here with winds hitting over 60 MPH.
Saw my first water spout today. Was driving up beside Lake Keowee around 3PM to get to the farm and watched a small tornado drop down onto the lake. It sucked up the water and came right at me. I pulled over with another car and it came up onto the road and it was like a giant bucket was turned over onto the truck and then it was gone. Only lasted a few seconds but man....it was a weird feeling for those few seconds. Hey.... I could of wound up in Kanas or OZ....COOL.LOL

MEGASTORM!

Wow, on the evening news they was saying there's never been anything like this recorded before. Says it looks like a category 3 hurricane in the midwest states.

Isn't this what scientist predicted we would be seeing more of with the climate change, global warming? Storms so big that could dump record snowfalls, rain, and lots of tornado's?

Better batten down the hatch!

We have some roof damage just from the wind. I went out to take my son to the bus stop and was greeted by 2 of my 5 month old bull calfs. Not pleased. Their poly dome calf hut was picked up broke 2 fences and smashed like an egg in the back pasture. Doors torn off the barns cattle pannels torn off t post around the garden. Im so glad I didnt have the pigs in the garden yet I would have had a blast attempting to get the bulls and pigs back in seprate fences. I was thrown threw the chicken fence today as I attempted to gather the rest of the seeds and produce from the garden so I can soon let the pigs till. Im 5 foot 128 lbs and it tossed me like rag weed. So then I had to fix the chicken fencing. I was hearing trees breaking in the woods. I think one of my neighbors houses burnt as we had alot of fire and rescue trucks come flying past my house. Praise God no big trees came down on my fences as I do not know the first thing on starting my husbands chainsaw. All animals are in their spots Im tired and i pray the wind will settle down so I can in peace finish my work ANd stop being thrown around like a rag doll.

Not sure about science but it is predicted in the Bible
