Sickle mower pitman rod head installation question

Guess im ate up with the big A. I cant remember how the head fits . how the straps fit on a sickle mowert pitman rod. One of the balls has a horn on it that rests on something to keep the sickle from dropping out of the sickle bar when upright. Is that horn to face forward, or backward. The straps are made with a slight curve. Are they mounted with the curve down so that the pitman rod kinda comes down on the ball, or are the installed with the curve up so that the pitman rod kinda comes from back of the ball? Thanks.
