Washing machine motor question

Is there a reason one would want to save an old working one? If so, what could it be used for??

it might fit on another washer,,,,it might be used in other homemade applications.....most of the newer washer motors o longer have a case on them and way to many wires for easy fixit projects....you can always junk for copper but if you value your time more than .50 and hour.......
