Amazing color photos from 1939 to 1943

Don't know if these have made it around the web - saw them posted on another site.

Many farming and other photos. Might show these to my mom who was just out of high school about then.

My mom was born in 1922 and she has said she got to wear the same dress for a week. Maybe the same dress for longer, but washed on the weekends.

I was interested in the dinner table of the family in #17. Looks like they mostly lived off what they produced. Also noticed the dad's hand bandaged, which probably put quite a crimp in his life, as hands were actually needed then.

The Texas kids seemed cleaner...must have had a river or creek nearby.

The color makes it seem more real...something about black and white photos puts them into the film industry category and I don't get as caught up in the moment as with color.

I bought something the other day and received a penny in change and just wanted to throw it away.

Noticed in picture 30 that a penny could buy you an orange back then.

Awesome pics. I've seen them, but they're always worth a second look.

Anyone notice the tobacco plants in the garden in #21?

It's what America is all about.

No matter what, there is always "possibilities".

Great, inspiring photos.

I can't stop thinking about the bare feet on the children.
