Gotta love 4th cutting hay!!

I just the numbers from my hay guy. 40-50 bales under 20% moisture and get this over 24% protein.
The girls are gonna love it.
Who needs alfalfa.

4th cutting hay is nice if you need the hay.You take a chance on winter kill when you take the 4th cutting though. The gals will love you for that choice hay for sure.

Wow, good for you. We try to get second cutting when we can. First is a little rough and not enough nutrition. But hay is expensive this year.

It was so dry this year (at the worst possible times too), we were lucky to get two cuttings. The second cutting was the least hay we ever bailed...and the "dustiest".

Around here people are anywhere between their 3rd to 5th cutting of alfalfa. Alot of hay has been cut in the past couple days, including mine. But wow, that sounds like some real good hay you got ahold of.

And these are round bales. I will go through about 1 a week till winter then 1 every 5 days. So I am real pleased to have almost a years worth at that quality to be put aside for me.

Yes I feed round bales to everyone. I do however peel off hay and put into the hayracks.
