A Mushroom Question

I am finding these under some heavy dense weeds, so very little light is getting to them and it has been rainy here. They are small with the largest about 1 1/2 inch diameter. They are a gold yellow, flat on top, grow individually, but a lot together in some areas.

If I find the camera cable I will take a picture, which I know is important. My biggest concern is to keep the geese from eating them if they might be toxic.
