rodent bait

Hi,

Some years ago I asked on here about rodent bait that was not toxic to any pets or predators that might eat the rat corpses. I think it was Gobugs who told me about Quintox. I just went to the site where I had gotten it to order more and they say the manufacturer no longer makes it.

Any suggestions for a substitute? We have some rats and WAY too many ground squirrels.

Thanks.
Jean

The active ingredient is cholecalciferol, and it is also in Ortho Rat B Gone, and Rampage. One caution - eating the poisoned rats does not harm pets, but dogs that eat the actual bait can die from it.

Thanks! I was concerned about my chickens finding a body and eating it.
