Someone save this

I certainly can't save it, but it's so pretty. It deserves a new life.

What an amazing opportunity that would be for someone with the right resources!

it has to be moved

When I last looked, it only had a price for the next bid of $250. Of course, it still has nine days to go.

I looked again, the last picture with the parking lot is full of cop cars. Makes sense since this is an auction site for government agencies to liquidate surplus and unneeded items.

Love the porch on it. I hope it gets a good next life, or at least the parts of it make a nice addition to someone's home.

What a cool Federal style house...that is one old house. 1840's to 1860's?

I'm a sucker for old homes. Hope someone saves it...and the right way too, preserving those stunning windows, a brick foundation, and the porch.

That porch floor could be very expensive to replace with proper porch floor material that will last 40 years. The material alone for my porch floor was $650, not including the 20 foot floor joists and ultra expensive band board. I think materials alone ran about $1000, and my porch is much, much smaller than that one.

Then again, my porch is 9 feet deep, and the stock came in 12 foot sticks, wasting 1.80 per board.
