I usually buy mine at the $General...they have sold as low as 2 cents a package. I usually buy basil, dill, thyme. I love to find onion seeds...scatter them all over in the fall. I love basil over noodles, one of my favorites. Parsley is another, looks pretty pressed into noodle dough and then cut.

Sorry...I am thinking about seeds....guess you mean spices...

medicinal herbs? or cooking/spice herbs? what do you use? what types of cooking do you do?

medicinal: i recently bought dried elderberries. i'll put 'em in vodka, and take it when i start getting a cold. it improves the immune system, and reduces the length and severity of colds. i bought from a little local store, which ordered from frontier organics.

cooking/spices: cinnamon for making my cinnamon raisin bagels, which i eat daily. and chili powder too. both frontier brand, ordered thru amazon when they had a deal.

also bought a few asian spices to try, from an asian grocery in town. i don't use huge amounts of spices now; i'm experimenting here and there, and will buy larger quantities once i find spices i like and use regularly.

check out www.herbalcom.com for ALL types of bulk herbs. Their kitchen herbs/spices are FRESH, FRESH!!! I can smell the galic granules from the UPS delivery truck before he gets to the door! I repack in small quantities, vac-pac, and they keep fine for years that way away from light of course. I've been ordering from them for many, many years with asolutely no problems. No minimum order $$ amount, $6.50 handlng fee I think, and free shipping via 3-day UPS, at least to my door from Iowa.

I second the herbalcom, as I have never been unhappy with anything I have ordered and the shipping flat rate can't be beat!

Need more info from you. What are you looking to use them for? Do you want dried for medicine or food or are you wanting to start a garden?
