Remington Rebate on guns and ammo

I wasn't sure if I should put this in this forum or the Survival & Emergency Preparedness forum, but here it is.

If you are looking to buy a gun, Remington has the following gun rebates:

Model 870 Express Shotgun - $30.00 Rebate
Model 700 SPS Rifle - $40.00 Rebate
Model 11-87 Shotgun - $50.00 Rebate
Model 700 XCR II, CDL, CDL SF, BDL, VTR, XCR, & XHR Rifles - $100 Rebate

For ammunition they have:
Premier Copper Solid Sabot Slugs - $5.00 Rebate on 1 box, or $10.00 on 2
And Core-Lokt Cartridges - $2.00 Rebate on 1 box, or $$5.00 on 2.

The rebate is open from 08/01/10 - 12/31/10. Where you buy the items should have the rebate form, or you can get it off their website.

But if you were looking to buy a gun, or needed some ammo (or find a cheap price somewhere), you can save a little of money.

Remington amo rebate requires purchase of 2 boxes, and you $5 back. DicksSportingGoods has a sale on amo so its a particularly good deal for Core-Lokt.

Winchester super-x has same rebate deal.

You have to send in original receipt, and only once per household. You may have to go Rem/Win web sites to get the rebate forms.

Regarding rife rebates. I was recently looking at Rem 700 rifles. Found a Browning x-bolt on sale and got that instead. If rebate was available then (or if I knew of it), it might have complicated my decision.
