Ford 3400 Tractor

There is one of these coming up at auction and wondered if anyone know anything about them and how they might hold up, or what to look out for. This one has a loader, 3 point and PTO.

The 3400 is an industrial model, but it seems there should be an ag equivilent. They were made from 65-75'.

I have a 3550 Ford Loader backhoe. They are great tractors, Mines been in te family about 14 years. Dad bought it and I cleared 4 acres of stumps with it. If you have a counter weight for it the loader can lift 2200 pounds. I have a set of forks I built to hook ontop of the bucket. The Fords are easy to work on and maintain to.

We've got the 4500 industrial model with the loader and backhoe. It's about the same vintage as the one you're looking at. It's a dependable workhorse but at it's age we always seem to be patching a leak in it somewhere. Ours would leak less if we treated it better, though. I started building a tractor shed for it earlier this week, so pretty soon we will be taking better care of it.
