Once Again NO!

Ok last Spring we opened up some brush so Deer would have more browse in one area of my place.

I have kicked around the idea of putting Stock back on our place to try and make some money but keep coming back to I don't want to be tied down.So just leave things the way they are so I can go out my Back door Deer hunting.

Well today my DW said our DS and his friend are wanting to talk to me about putting a Milk Cow and Calf here I told her no because there isn't enough grass where they was wanting to put them.Well you was thinking of putting Goats on the place.Yea but Goats are differnt plus it was for money and we decided against it.

I told her they could put them over at their place.Oh they don't have enough grass Well they could clear brush and get their own grass.

Well my wife is mad at me once again because I said NO!!

She'll thank you later when it's YOU guys that are having to take care of "their" cow.

I second the "get some goats" option. They could keep them at their place, no pasture needed, and goats are much easier to handle IMO.

You are mean, and most likely selfish too, BUT you done good. Let them take care of their own cow, and grass too.

And who do you think would be feeding and watering said cow and calf?!?

Hint - it wouldn't be your son and his friend.

Now Rock, your just not looking at this the right way.

You need to think like a congress critter and they are an oil company. Figure out a way to "tax" them everytime the cow eats, get milked, s***, or turns around. Then also fine them anytime you have to do anything or even look at the cow.

And don't forget you get the lion's share of any milk just because you want it.

So now go and get busy writing "BR-001, Milk Cow boarding regulations."

You said they have brush? Perfect. Tell them to get a couple of milk goats. They'll give all the milk they want and clear the brush for them, too.
