Anyone know the value of silverware?

One of the many things I do is make ready on rental houses. A while back I hauled off a bunch of silverware from a house that had a bunch of junk left in it. I have held on to it, not really believing it's worth much

But,

Is it worth anything?

It's silver plated and marked National doubletested Silverplate.

I looked it up and it was made in the mid to early 1900's sometime. Rose and vine patter, I think. There are 60 some pieces.

I don't know anything about silverware, but when I do find something cool I like to see how much it's going for on Ebay.... maybe this helps?

www.replacements.com

tells you what buying various silverware/dinnerware would cost, for lots of different patterns. you can also contact them to see if they're buying your particular pattern, and how much they pay. (they buy at a much lower price than they sell at, of course, to cover their profits.)

there are probably similar sites to the above as well, but i don't know what they are.

Here is an ebay listing of a sold lot of silverware that might better help you to determine a value.

if its not a complete set, you can make nice windchimes suitable for craft sale or gifts

have no clue

BUT I once listed an old set on ebay and got three hundred and the person was thrilled to have it. I was expecting 50. It was nothing special.

Silverplate is not worth much. Sterling silver is the way to go if you are buying...

i got out the set we had packed away, identified it and if i was to buy it new right now it is still available so i can see what it would be worth NEW..but this set was produced in 1921..i was wrong it was not sterling..it was silver plate..so new it would be worth $432.00 plus tax and shipping to buy the set we have..however..i also went on line at ebay and looked to see what the same pattern was selling for..no where near $432 on the bids that are up now..highest was just over $300 for a larger set.
