Smile Shooting Stars Tonight!

If you are out late tonight, look up at the sky. Earth is passing through the Pleadies (spelling approximate) a 60,000 meteor shower. For my time the best viewing is supposed to be 1:00 am to 4:00 am although it's over cast here so likely we won't see much in my neighborhood. Have seen the display other years. It's a wonder! Hope you enjoy!

Heck I sat outside from 10 to 11, never saw a shooting star. I saw the stars, i saw the dippers, but the biggest dip I saw was me getting a sore neck looking up at the sky seeing no shooting stars

I went out just after midnight and even here in the city I observed some of the brightest ones in the night sky. It always surprises me as to the various and many angles they streak along. North to south, east northeast to west southwest, etc. The brightest I saw was north to south.

Thanks for the literal heads up.

DD and I were so looking forward to it, and it rained all night, still raining. I'm very grateful for the rain, but it would've been nice if it had just held off til today.

They will still be visible for several days, but not with the numbers of the prime viewing evening.

I went far out into the country two years ago to get away from all city light pollution for better viewing. However shortly after arriving high thin clouds moved in and obscured my heavenly view.
