Moss Springs Old Settlers Picnic sw Missouri

I think that is what its called. I went to this a couple of times when i was a kid and would love to take my kids. Does anyone in sw mo know if its still going. Think its located between Joplin and Carthage and i think it has a 3 day event in August. If you know anything about it let me know.

16th Annual Moss Springs Old Settler's Picnic -- August 25-26, 2007
Past Events Home --- Events --- Donations --- Feedback
Directions - 2 1/2 miles East on Burr Oak Road from Fidelity Cloverleaf. Then, turn East on Bobwhite.

Programs and activities on Saturday, August 25, 2007 and Church Service 11:00 a.m. Sunday, August 26. Sunday, bring a covered dish and table service for Potluck lunch immediately after the service on the grounds.

Drawings to be held throughout the day. Exhibits must be in place by 12 noon and picked up between the hours of 4-5 p.m. Prizes subject to change without notice. We welcome the donation of food entries from culinary to be auctioned off.

8:00 a.m. Grounds Officially Opened by Larry Carlisle, President
9:30 a.m. Invocation by J Pendergraft
10:00 a.m. Baby Contest
10:00 a.m. Horseshoe Pitching Contest (Sign up 9:30 a.m.)
10:00 a.m. Baby Contest
11:00 a.m. Magic Show By Sharon Carlisle
12:00p.m. Contests and Games for Children and Adults
Entertainment
6:00 - 7:00 p.m. The Harrall Family
7:00-8:00 p.m. Lowell Mason
8:00-9:00 p.m. Palomino Moon Band
Concessions
Concessions provided by Spring Valley 4-H, Neosho

Yep that sound like it i guess i will try that number and see if there still doing it. In the hunting for it i came across Farm girl fest sounds fun ive been wanting to start making soap and love dutch oven cooking might go here instead

Sounds a lot like "Hootin and Hollarin Days" in Gainesville. September 16 - 18 this year.

We hope to drive up from Houston for this year's event. Planning to meet some of the new neighbors!
