Thumper, we also have a sawdust toilet and it works great. My husband built it with a container in back with a lid to hold the sawdust. I just keep a scoop in it and it works like a charm. I feel better about not wasting so much water as with a septic system. We have a graywater pond for our kitchen and bath runoff. It is an efficient system.

Thumper you should be so proud. What a lovely homestead. The "riddle me this" under goats had me on the floor - how funny! Just a wonderful place.
