Road Trip! :)

It has been many many years since I went on a road trip with DH. But here I am today- having driven across all of Montana, part of Wyoming, all of South Dakota- in Albert Lea MN. I had totally forgotten how humid it gets on this side of the Rocky Mountains! Everything is green and lush, the roads here are as bad as ours in MT, but over all it is nice to experience something different. We both though South Dakota was stunning but we thought if we lived there we would miss our pine trees! MN, at least down south here seems to be one huge farm after another of soybeans and corn. I think some of the corn might be for bio fuel as we saw several signs. The only trees were clustered around the old homesteads which was kind of sad. Tomorrow we head east again, touching WI and then head south to Bloomington ILL where we will meet DH's mom and all of his relatives that I have not met (which is most) in our twenty years of marriage. What an experience and what a gas expense LOL.

If you are heading toward LaCrosse, you're going to go through a huge wind farm. I don't know when you are heading out, but it was a neat sight in the moonlight.

I assume you took I-90 through southern MN. Not the more scenic hwy 14. If you had taken 14, you'd a pretty much passed me a time or 2 on the road.

I-90 isn't too far south of me either. I buy some of my seed in Albert Lea.

Wow I had no idea you all lived so close lol. Had a good night in Albert Lea- I just picked it cause i like the name lol. Now we are in Bloomington. Yup we saw and were awed by the wind farm...we need more of that in Montana- Lord knows we have wind. We were to pick up DMIL at six pm but her plane broke before take off from Cape Canaveral so she will not be arriving till tonight at 11 pm. Made a command decision and got two rooms for tonight. I am exhausted and she is 25 years older than me so midnight is gonna be late. Unfortunately one of the meds I take for my MS knocks me on my tusch so DH is gonna have to go to the little airport alone...either that or I will sleep till noon and they will abandon me at the motel as they go to the home town. This country of ours is beautiful indeed but I think I live in the best place for me already! Tomorrow on to Paxton and many memories from DH's childhood. sis
