How would you get the hulls off of the seeds I grew a small patch for my bees and would like to try some homemade buckwheat pancakes. Also any good recipes for the batter.

I would assume it would be like wheat, oats, etc. Stick a big handful of dry buckwheat in a very large plastic bag and thrash the bag against a tree, side of the house, etc. to knock the hulls loose from the vines. Then take the hulls and roll them between the palms of your hands to crush and release the seeds. After this you would winnow the seeds to blow the hulls away by dropping the seeds and hulls from a distant height into a container. The wind will blow the hulls away leaving the seeds to land into your container. You may have to repeat this several times to get all the hulls out.
