Dishwasher Recall

If you purchased any of the following brands of dishwashers between February 2006 and April 2010, it could be subject to a recall due to an electrical problem in the heating element, which could cause a fire:

Maytag
Jenn-Air
Amana
Admiral
Magic Chef
Performa by Maytag
Crosley

There are certain (and many) serial numbers involved, so I'll just list the website: www.repair.maytag.com

I called because mine appeared to be part of the recall and it was handled quickly and efficiently. I have a repair company coming in three days.

I thought this would be a great way to get the word out.

Already had the repairman out to fix this recall problem. They also offered $250 as a rebate if I bought a new dishwasher instead. I paid $400 for the dishwasher two years ago, so I figured it would be better to have it fixed than lose $150 on a newer one.

Yeah, I took the repair basically because I thought it was the cheapest and quickest way to get it done.

We are familiar with the repair company they use and they do very well. Always ahead of schedule and willing to work with you to get things done.
