Lifan Mini Scooter ?

.............Was wondering IF anyone has ridden or purchasaed one of the Lifan Miniscooters ? They are a copy of the very popular Honda Mini trail scooters.....which are very pricey ..........

I have Lifan GY-5 200cc motorcycle I purchased brand new. Lifan is the better of the many Chinese knock-off motorcycle manufactures. I looked at some of the other Lifan products. Motor/trans wise they are pretty decent. They cheap out on the wiring, bulbs, chain/sprockets, and the original tires don't last long. I haven't had a wiring problem but you can tell the gauge is pretty thin. The chain and sprocket is a pretty standard affair so once the cheapo Chinese ones wear out I'd simply replace it with some quality pieces. For the price I think they are a pretty good deal but the quality is not on the same level as Honda. If you don't mind a little tinkering now and again I think a Lifan would work pretty good for you.

...............Thanks Phil , I'm interested in the Miniscooter too ride around in RV parks , etc . The reviews I've read say both chain sprockets should be changed too give better ratio's over stock . The advertized price for the Mini is $949 , and if I don't register it I could probably avoid sales tax . Thanks for your help . , fordy
