what is this algae?

There was red algae? forming on the inside of one of the goat water pails.
What is it and why is it red?

I get it all the time in my rubber goat water pails. Doesn't seem to hurt them. After awhile I bleach the pail and it seems to slow regrowth down for awhile but it ALWAYS comes back.
