Dang this weather...

My wife and I planted 18 broccoli plants and four rows of peas. (Two varieties of broccoli and three varieties of peas for staggered harvest). Last year we had broccoli for almost 6 weeks continuously, and peas for perhaps 5 weeks. We didn't go to our place two weekends ago, as my wife had a doctor's appt. and they were calling for 80% chance of rain. We get there this past weekend, and every single broccoli plant had bolted, and the peas were already too far gone. Big, and tough, and bitter. I hate it when you spend time and money and don't get anything for your effort!!!

My broccoli and cauliflower bolted before I even got to pick anything. First too wet, now to hot and dry.
