I just stoked the fire - on June 17th - what the????

The high temp the last 2 days here near Spokane was just over 50 degrees - record low, highs.

Grass and spinach and such like it, the corn and beans and pumpkins don't.

My SIL was just telling us about that. She lives in Seattle. Crazy! The whole spring has been just totally odd for us, too, in MN. June feels more like May, and May felt more like June. Even March and April were odd. Weirdest thing.

Hah, I figured you must be in Washington when I saw the title of this thread. It's 37 here right now, and I hear snow was flying near Liberty a couple days ago. Last Saturday it was near 80 - now this.

I like winter, but not in June!

I think the temps here are to be up to 94 today. But the humidity is so thick that it feels well over 100. You step outside and you start sweating.

I need to move to Washington State! We have a 102 degree heat index here in MS today and it's supposed to get worse over the weekend.

My sister lives in Arizona and she just spent a week in the state of Washington visiting her daughter she said she like to have froze to death.

Yeah no kidding... we had the heater on last night. My tomatoes and peppers are seriously unhappy. We should be in the 80s... at least the weather is nicer today!

Things must be a bit odd everywhere. Instead of sitting over the fire, we've let it go out.

Cheers

Yesterday morning it was 30 degrees and I had to scrape the car windows. I am not planting anything this year. It would be a waste of time and money.

Things are really hosed up... normally this time of June, we'd just start getting to the heat we've been experiencing; but we've had July/August weather except for the huge amounts of rainfall for quite sometime.

It's a little weird around here. Too hot too soon.. highs in the upper 90's woith really high heat indexes with all the humidity and we are getting too dry already too.
Gonna be a rough, rough summer.

Yeah, got excited yesterday with 75 degrees but today back into 50's.

Grass is loving it - I need more cows! Found a big slug on the lawn - we are desert on the east side of the state so don't normally have them.

Last year, I planted my garden on June 10th, during the rains, to make sure I didn't get ANY last minute cold fronts.

This year? I haven't bothered. Temps are like August, we have very little rain. But we have been getting freezing cold fronts still. A week of SERIOUSLY hot weather, followed by two days with highs in the 50's, followed by a week in the 90's, etc. I wouldn't have anything left alive except the greens, and they would have probably bolted.

This whole year has been weird. I was considering sunbathing in February, then dealt with drifts of snow in May. Looks like summer is going to be just as odd as winter was.

But remember, folks, "Climate Change is JUST a myth!"
