Old Smokehouse Plans

Old Smokehouse Plans - Homesteading Questions

A week or so back, someone asked about old smokehouse plans. I found these designs on the Historical American Buildings Survey:

I like the Tomas Black one. Simple one story structure with an outside pit area. May have to show this one to DH and see what he thinks.

Thanks for the link!

It was neat to see the Zabriskie smokehouse. While I am mostly of Dutch descent from that area, he shows up in my family tree!

Zabriski Homestead

Airmont,

Wow! You can read more about Jacob Zabriski here:

Take a look at the drawings for a great view of your ancestral homestead.

Old Barn Plans

FarmBoyBill,

I put together a list of interesting barn plans from the hundreds on the Historic American Buildings Survey. The problem is that it takes me much more time than I thought to convert the HABS drawing files into printable PDF plans.

Take a look and let me know if there are any that you'd like prints of and I'll try to convert them for you:

Historic Barn Designs

Here's the only one that I converted so far:

Small 1700s timber-frame barn
