Post on sheep, but thought general might enjoy this, truly this is the reward of homesteading for me, having healthy, happy livestock! Enjoy this little clip I took!

Clicked on your link, and saw a Cheviot ram in the sale ring, not too happy to be there, looking confused. But. . . . no two-day-old lamb?

I see the nice sheep and I'm glad they're happy and healthy. But I thought I was going to see a little lamb frolicing about.

I'm impressed with how much they are getting for that sheep (shep? lol) Is that common to get $1000 for a shep? Where are the babies?!

Now, THAT's what I was expecting to see in the first place! LOL! They sure are cute when they get to hopping around, aren't they? I always wondered if they had springs instead of legs.

Adorable, makes me wish I had my sheep again. Round here it was a real hoot when the lambs got to be a couple months old and all of a sudden about half of them, had 60 lambs one year, will decide they need to RUN. They would take off in a group around and around the barn yard running as fast as they can injecting some of those high, kick out jumps. Several times the group would split, go the opposite directions around the hay feeder and nearly collide on the other side. This would start so quickly there wasn't enough time to get a camera and get out to the barn. Maybe someday I'll be in the right place at the right time. You just got to love raising critters.

Betsy, we call those "lamb races" and I never tire of watching them! It's been 3 years since we've bred our sheep, hoping we'd have sold our house and moved to the new property by now.... but the economy etc has delayed everything, sheep were getting fat, so found a Clun ram to try some cross-breds this year. We SO missed having lambs! I hope you can have some again soon! This little ewe lamb is a real character still, we might just have to keep her! Glad everyone enjoyed the video!!!!!!
