Caller id machine question

I've had this one for about 6 years, have put batteries in when needed, etc. For the past year it has been not picking up calls more and more, now only picks ups maybe one in 6. Can read just fine so doesn't need batteries.

Has anyone ever had this happen with their caller id machine? May be time for a new one.

Do you, per chance, still have the user manual?

If not, since you have access to a computer, can you find the make and model online and see if there is a troubleshooting section?

Do you have lots of old messages that might need deleting?

Are any lights blinking irregularly indicating the battery might be low?

I've deleted all messages. Most of the time when I get a call it never shows a number , nada and the call indicator light doesn't blink, just like it is not even connected to the phone. totally useless. Gonna look for the manual.

It is nice when a Caller ID Shows up on your TV Screen. It does on mine and also on my Dads TV LOL
Most all phones now have built in Caller ID so no need to have that "add on" caller id thingy.
