Anyone have experience with Haier Ventless Washer / Dryer Combo?

The Haier Ventless Washer / Dryer Combo HWD1000 is the compact laundry solution for small spaces that requires no venting, making it the perfect companion for small homes, apartments, cabins, RVs and boats.

Not that one but we had a Thor. It washed well. Drying was marginal. Basically hot and damp - super spun but not dry. Had to hang everything to dry. If you want a drier, get a real drier. Unfortunate.

Cheers

I would be interested in reviews also. I can't use a laundromat as when we do, someone usually ends up in the hospital with a reaction to the soaps left over from previous use. Currently I have a small washer/dryer combo. But to use the washer I have to turn the water off/on as needed, then hand wring the clothes. The dryer portion works well though once I get the clothes wrung out well. I often find it easier to hand wash clothes, then dry on a line for a while (often overnight), then finish drying in the dryer in the morning.

The other washer unit I've considered is this one: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...t_adv_XSG10001 , then I could either dry the clothes outside or in the dryer that I currently have.

I don't have any experience, however I had a friend who lived in a travel trailor who had one. Their biggest complaint was that laundry took forever. 2 machines (washer and dryer) could be working on 2 different loads, the single machine took hours to do one load. Also you might look into a laundry spinner to get most of the water out of you clothes(more than a regular washer), small ones are inexpensive, compared to machine you're considering.

Being ventless, where does the moisture go?

That's probably why it takes so long!

I had one (not a Haier) and the steam is cooled using cold water and goes down the drain. Mine was fantastic but it ran on 220v (the Haier is 115v and I do not know if it has a step-up transformer) and was not made in China. I only had a small garden when our first child was born and there was no space for a clothes line. I used that washer/dryer everyday washing cloth diapers - put them in when I went to bed and they were clean and dry before the 2am feed.

Nothing useful to contribute, but when I first saw the title of this thread, I read it as "Anyone have experience with Hairless Ventless Washer / Dryer Combo?" Had to read the thread.

After much research, I chose the vented combo washer/dryer. We had an old cabin inherited from GFBs folks and the septic was 1/3 the size it should've been.
With a VENTLESS model you have a double drum. The inner drum heats up and the dampness from the clothes turns into steam which goes into the outer drum. Meanwhile you are running your cold water (they say it takes 3 gallons cold water to dry) it condenses the steam back into liquid and it drains off.
My first 2 vented were equators and their customer service sucks.
We now have a vented Edgestar model at the cabin. It uses a tad bit more water than the Equator- which NEVER got my sox clean! I have been very happy with it. We stuff it to the gills for washing and everything but towels and denim comes out spun nearly dry. I prefer to hang dry but if we need the dryer, we use the hanging rack for sox and undies and just dry the denims and bedsheets. It fit right into the disheasher footprint under the counter.
