There was a LIZARD in my house...lol

My day has been "unusual" to say the least. I woke up sick as a dog with my sinuses throbbing and feeling like they were 200 degrees. Its also Ethans 12th birthday. My house was messy and my mother in law showed up. Then oldest daughter and grandkids showed up. Thru all this I barely feel like sitting up. Then hubby walks outside holding something wiggly (lizard)... well... half a lizard. The kids couldn't wait to tell me that the cat caught the lizard, which threw its tail off, which flopped madly across the floor and up under the refrigerator. Hubby, has to work tonight, so he just says he'll get it later and goes to bed I'm telling you right now if it flops out on my toes hes gonna wish he'd just got it to begin with! Can I please take my sick butt to bed now????

In Indonesia, house lizards are a sign of good luck/prosperity. I believe they call them "chik chaks." They eat the bugs you don't want to admit you have around!

Hope you're feeling better.

BTW, the cat will probably scoop it out from under the refrigerator and make a morsel of it by morning, and you won't have to worry about it.

I'm thinking about getting a lizard for my basement to clean up the spiders.

Hi guys,
I'm so sick. I just wanted to say I feel really stupid for posting this. Apparently my brain is fried from whatever crud I have. The flopping lizard tail was just the last straw yesterday. Sorry!!!!

Sorry, "here liz-ard, liz-ard, liz-ard" is the first this that came to mind...maybe cause yesterday was Cinqo de Mayo.

No worries...made me smile. Hope you're feeling better.

House lizards (anoles or geckos) are epidemic here; part of the interior ecology! ldc

Yep, here too. They stick all over the shrubbery, house, behind the shutters, crawl on the windows after dark, occasionally drop down on your neck if you step onto the porch at night. No biggie.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Maybe when you wake up in the morning you'll be improved.
