Whos cow was Elsie

Back in the old days there was a big color ad in magizines with a picture of a great looking Jersey cow with big eyelashes and dreamy eyes. She had a calf and a big Jersey husband.
She was advertising for a big milk company.
Anyone remember what company and the names of her bovine family?????

Bordens and her husband was Elmer the bull. They had two "kids" twins I believe. Actually the Bull became the emblem for the Elmer's Glue

Her husband was Elmer the Bull, who served as the mascot for Elmer's Glue; a division of Borden's. Their offspring included Beulah, Beauregard, and twins Larabee and Lobelia. See the story of the Borden mascots below:

There is a history of sorts at ...
http://www.bordenorganic.com/elsiesp...oryofelsie.htm
It mentions Great Aunt Bess and Uncle Bosworth

The following mentions Elmer and the kids ... Beulah, Beauregard, and twins Larabee and Lobelia
http://www.cremora.com/elsies_story.html

I only remembered Elsie and Elmer.

Well Elsie & Elmer had a happy life for part of the year but part of the year farmer Brown kept Elsie on one side of the fence & Elmer on the other side . Elsie kept giving Elmer that dreamy bedroom eyes look until Elmer couldn't stand it anymore & jumped the fence . Elmer said you sure are a beautiful cow Elsie & Elsie said you sure are a handsome bull Elmer . Elmer looked real sad & Elsie asked him what would make a big strong handsome bull so sad . Elmer said you can't call me Elmer the bull anymore , that fence was higher than I thought . That's when Elmer,s picture appeared on the glue bottle .

After the milk plant closed and was tore down, Bordens Elsie in Huntsville moved to the local cultural museum where Aunt Eunice's Country kitchen display is located also.

I actually had a stuffed Elsie toy, pink, with her plastic smiling head. When you tipped her, she went "moooooo".

My brothers had blue ones, but I don't know if they were Elmers or not.
