Can't Wait:Got Copy of Ruth Stouts Book!

From time to time on the forums, I have read about Ruths gardening books. Every time has made me want my own copy more and more. So I went to E-Bay and half-heartedly started bidding. I knew if it went much over $20. I couldn't get it. So my top bid was $23 something and I GOT IT!!! I can't wait to give it a read. Come on mailman!!! So then, I stumbled onto some BackWoods Home Anthologies and my hubby said, get them, look how long you've wanted them, and I got yrs 1-2 & 4 all for $26. Don't know if that was a good deal or not. Anyways, there was more of both so if you're looking now might be a good time. Kathy

I have two of her books and love them both. Which book did you get?

"Green Thumb..." is a pleasure to read as well as being filled front to back with priceless gardening knowledge.

Congrats on your finds! If you search her on youtube you'll find a nice three part video interview of Ruth talking about her gardening methods.

I got her 3'rd No work garden book. I just recently thought to look for her on You Tube and got to watch the 3 videos. I love her! I didn't see one called Green Thumb, how many books does she have out?

I was refering to this book:

http://www.amazon.com/Have-Green-Thu...2291217&sr=8-2

I also have hte "No Work Garden book" and love that one too. It is more of a compilation of articles compared to the link above which is more of a story.

In the front of "I've Always Done it My Way'
" it lists as follows
I've always done it my way"
"As we remember Mother"
"How to have a green thumb without a aching back"
The Ruth Stout no work gardening book (with Richard Clemence)
"If you would be happy"
"Gardening without work"
"Company coming: Six decades of Hospitality"
And
"Its a Womans World"

Hope this helps, but remember, both that book and Ruth are long gone, so list may not be complete.
