TRESSPASSERS, Dogs,coons and geese!
I got out of the sheep business years ago because roaming dogs just made it impractical for me to stay in business.
Best thing I ever did for my blood pressure!
Lately a pair of canadian geese have taken up residence at my place. They are very friendly to the point of letting you pet them..
Shes nesting and lately as I come in of night I have been seeing a young coon near her nest.
So I set out to live trap it. Been at it two weeks this am.
So I wakeup today to dogs barking. I go out there and the neighbors dogs are going nuts trying to get under a car of mine. They have really tore the place up. I had to DRAG one off 300 feet and keep kicking it away to get it to leave.
Ticked me off so I load up and drive over to the neighbors . Jump out and they meet me at the porch I was calm and reasonable But firmly told them That it was time for them to keep the dogs home.Told them what had happened and that I would pick the goose over the dogs.
They semed surprized and told me the dogs are really gunshy and a shot or firecracker would run them off.
Like IM GOING TO STAY HOME 24/7 AND WATCH FOR THEIR DOGS. GGGRRRRR!
So I go home and start to clean up while mumbling about it.
Well guess what I was WRONG
They hadnt been trying to get under the car to the goose. What had happened is I FINALLY CAUGHT THE COON!
They had come along and tryed to get in the cage till they had rolled it over AND SET THE COON LOOSE!
Now Im EVEN MORE TICKED!
It will be a hundred times harder to catch that coon now!
Time is short the eggs will hatch soon or may have already. And I have to leave on a business trip . I wont leave the trap baited when I cant check it each day.
